Weed is legal in Canada. Last I checked, and it was certainly true when weed initially became legal in Canada, marijuana is still very illegal in the US, federally.
So your VISA, Mastercard, or debit-backed-by-a-US-reachable-bank records can show you've been purchasing what the US Customs officers see as a highly illegal drug, and you potentially lied about it the last time you said you didn't.
Depending on your ties to the States, like family, property, transiting across the border each day for work, or just an annual holiday, I would count that as a disaster.
Maybe I'm missing context from your locality, but you think the meth heads tried to sell gasoline on the sidewalk, and not that the shadiest shop in town paid some people to drum up business?
There used to be a house opposite me in Chicago that was a big crack/meth dealer. They would accept literally anything as payment. People would turn up there all day long with storage totes filled with random crap. The crap would be picked through, narcotics exchanged and then the rest thrown out the back. It was an excellent source for storage totes, though I sometimes had to retrieve my trash can from there as they would steal half a dozen of them every week to put all their leftover crap into.
the same thing happens in my area where there's a lot of car/RV homeless. If you take a look and think about it, you'll come to the conclusion that they're definitely not driving a decrepit 1980s winnebago to a gas station and paying $5/gal for gas to run their heat and generators.
Apparently the definition of clear is debatable here? It’s ridiculous to think a mechanic would pay people to damage gas tanks in the hopes of drumming up business.
A European-only, or even one that only primarily serves Europeans, likely won't make it to the front page as easily on the moderately American-centric HN - which further makes it seem like the only companies getting sued in the EU are American
Or it means everyone has to deal with just how broken the system is, together, regardless of whether you knew the and could take advantage of the cheap way or not
Not that it'll play out like that, America still has a wealth inequality problem that will insulate some that would otherwise push for a less-broken system. But I'm optimistic by default, and the bright side is more people complaining, loudly, at how broken America's health care system is, and pushing for a fix.
It was rarely enforced, prior to what GP explicitely called out as a recent change, that will come into effect October 22. We'll see what happens by end-of-year, though I wouldn't count on pharmacies replacing and re-shipping

Either the panels are purchased piecemeal, in which case some have to be replaced every year as your rolling stock fail, or they're replaced in large batches - which would be incredibly predictable, suggesting China would not fill one massive order and then say "No more", assuming they're trying to inflict pain
Either way though, you don't have 20 years to get up to speed.
Stating a truth is not adding to the conversation though. A little sad, sure, but grandparent's comment is barely even a building block to kick off a wider conversation, let alone thoughtful or additive on its own.
Maybe it doesn't deserve to be on the bottom, dead, but something this basic certainly doesn't deserve to be showered in upvotes
