I've been slowly trying to stop my spotify usage and replace it with owned audio files.
Mostly I try to use Bandcamp but many artists are not there. Sometimes I just rip the audio from youtube but would prefer a way to buy that gives most of the money to the artist.
I've found that it's actually surprisingly difficult to find a lot of music I like for purchase. Bandcamp is good but there is also 7Digital (both owned by Songtradr), Bleep and Qobuz. 7Digital usually has stuff that won't be on Bandcamp. There are also a few newer alternatives popping up like Ampwall, Subvert, and Mirlo.
My brother recently sent me a new album for my birthday. Very kind. But, it's on vinyl. And I don't have a player.
But it just reinforces thoughts I had before. I had wanted to gift him some music too, but, how? He has a phone. He has a computer. He's not particularly tech savvy. I know I can't ship him a CD, he has nothing that can rip it.
I know you buy an album on Amazon, they let you download the MP3s right away. But, how do I even gift that? Can you even download MP3 to an iPhone? From someplace not Apple? I honestly have no idea.
And it just highlights, to me, the entire (seemingly) difficulty of gifting music today.
Saving everything until Bandcamp Fridays for the ones on Bandcamp, otherwise pretty much Beatport or not buying it at all. Some labels I've listened to for a long time (like Liquicity) I buy the music straight from their store, figure the artist/label gets the most then.
After discovering music I like on YouTube or whatever, I buy albums on Bandcamp and Qobuz if possible, and Amazon as a last resort. Then I host them on my personal Navidrome server to enjoy without involving any big tech.
Are compact discs no longer available? I used to rip from those - every album I've ever downloaded and kept I have the CD for. Some bought before the download, many bought after.
But it's been a long time since I've heard anything good enough to purchase.
What bothers me personally the most is trying to hide it. Why did you remove Claude's (or whatever you used, but looks like opus to me from the style) co-author info?
I'm willing to use (semi-)vibecoded projects under certain circumstances, but I like to know up front what I'm getting. The github contributors list makes that easy to see as long as people don't try to hide it.
I don't have a good defense here, it's fair. But part of that was because of messy commit history and I wanted to have a clean commit history. Maybe it's not a good reason as well, but it was my real intention and my desire of perfectionism :)
reason is that I wanted to take the full control, when ai do the commits you normally don't check the code and you loose the control, well I think it's the most important thing.
But Going forward, for building trust, definitely take your recommendation.
The actual design, the report schema especially, came out of around 30 interviews with people who handle backup testing as part of their job.

Seems like you put a lot of thought and effort into it which is awesome, so the LLM readme was ruining first impressions. It's a shame but given the explosion in low effort projects it's important to stand out I think.
I don't know if it's just solely how I use them, but when I've had Gemini commit and push things, it has never added a co-author or anything. I've recently been playing with Claude and Opus 5, and it only does it maybe 75% of the time. I truly don't know why
I'm not enough of a conspiracy nut to say the whole HF thing was a PR ploy from the start, but they are certainly milking it well.
Open models are on their heels and their attempts at regulatory capture are not moving as fast as they would like. So it's time to market this incident in a way that gives them monopoly on closed models, with heavy safeguards that are only lifted for selected customers, and laws limiting the use of open weight models.
This one is great for filling in some of the gaps in official docs.
