It's still early days, I'm hesitant to claim the death of software engineering. It's good now because LLMs were all trained on actual human output. One possible future is a slop death spiral.
I sure as hell am never again releasing human-authored open-source in a way that can be scraped. My Github is now relegated to the lowest quality slop from the cheapest models.
Once their clean tech manufacturing flywheel is at full speed and they have met the domestic TAM for EVs, solar, and batteries, they will point the clean tech printer at the world. And not a moment too soon, considering planetary boundaries and climate heating limits breached so far.

The mantra I've heard is "resist and replace." It's not enough to fight a bad habit, you have to (learn to) replace it with something constructive (i.e. fill the void).
