Japan desperately needs some defense of its own, American is an unreliable ally and Japan has no nukes. And we’ve seen what happens to countries with no nukes.

The reason Japan won't have nuke is more so it's politically impossible. Even if USA and LDP wanted to, more than 80%+ of Japan (last survey I read) is strongly against it, and there's no way a reimpretation of the peace constitution can in anyway justify nuke, so a referendum is required
Japan also have advanced space programs so the method of delivery, is also not something that is something they can develop quickly. (and more recently, also chips etc required)
To be completely fair, we've also seen what happens to countries with nukes as well. It seems like almost every major military power on the planet has been hollowed out by institutional rot and grifters and I would fully believe the same of China's military if they got into a stupid conflict like the US. Traditional military power doesn't matter in a world where a country can buy a hundred thousand drones for dirt cheap and make any sort of invasion suicidal.
GitHub stars have been botted to hell for a long time now. I don't know how the farms acquire so many accounts, last time I tried to register a GitHub account I had to jump through so many hoops. The platform needs an overhaul, starting with requiring a valid payment method for the social features.
I never understood the Woz praise to be honest. Nice dude, did some good work in the 80s, been pretty much coasting ever since. There's tonnes of UI bugs. A more severe one I've experienced is that my approved PRs have been shown as still waiting on review, leading some of them to be delayed by weeks.
It should be changed so flagged comments are still viewable, just hidden. This would somewhat counteract the disagreement flagging. Maybe show who flagged too.
Flagging shouldn't be a thing at all. If you like a comment, vote it up. If you dislike a comment then vote it down. Any functionality beyond that is pointless

In 2001, the NYT had op-eds from Thomas Friedman that were "Rootin' for Putin". Had we not interfered, we probably would have had another Gorbachev.
