I think the problem ones are more likely to be film cables and their delicate connectors. They weren't really intended to be repeatedly removed. The IDC connectors and multi strand cables you get with PATA are far more robust and coarse pitch.

True, but it's not exactly siberia because of the funny dynamics with gulf stream, scandic mountains and large water bodies. (That balance might be easily upset by climate change, though.) It's mostly relatively cool and the winter is long. Temperatures swing from -35 to +30 °C yearly and pretty wide part of that even in short term.

For more fun perspective, compare those latitudes to America or Asia. Finland is a weird place.

Yes. My thought is that the OP title is 100% opposite of the truth: Dealing with LLMs quickly teaches you to mercilessly throw work away and start from a clean slate lightly.

I haven't really put much thought into this, but now that I think back, in my experience also it's USB cables that are the most fragile and likely to fail over time.

I would say the cake box is the more useful container than spindles, though I suspect that's what you meant.

I remember some tape packaging having the lovely warning that "adhesive qualities may change over time". Indeed, some tape glues turn to dust, others to slippery goo or sticky goo, some become a mysterious immovable firmament that stays put until all the material around them has crumbled away.

I would not trust or even leave any kind of tape for long term application myself. There's always something better.
